EYE2DRIVE – based in Carrara, Tuscany (Italy) – was founded as a spinoff of the Sant’Anna School of Pisa and is currently led by Monica Vatteroni, PhD.

The Company designs and manufactures vision sensors based on innovative technologies inspired by the functionality of the human eye. Its sensors are based on HDR technology and dynamically adapt to real-time changing light conditions. The performance detected in experiments is superior to systems commonly used in autonomous driving, such as Lidar and Radar. Thanks to these technological innovations, EYE2DRIVE ‘s sensors can be used in many other industrial applications based on autonomous navigation. The Company’s proprietary technologies have been designed to improve the safety and efficiency of autonomous navigation systems such as cars, drones, and road transport.

EYE2DRIVE‘s vision sensors are AI-ready: they are designed to interact with and be controlled in real-time directly by artificial intelligence systems. This feature improves the quality and reliability of captured images. EYE2DRIVE develops and owns several international patents covering its sensor and technology.
