13 February 2026The University of Bologna is strengthening its collaboration with industry through a new framework agreement with CNH, a global leader in the production of machinery, technologies and services for agriculture and construction. The agreement was signed by the Alma Mater’s Rector, Giovanni Molari, and the CEO of CNH Industrial Italia SpA, Carlo Lambro.
The agreement consolidates a collaboration that has been active for several years in scientific and technological research and aims to jointly develop projects addressing the major challenges of technological transition, sustainability, and territorial competitiveness. The agreement is set to last five years.
The protocol foresees joint activities in research and innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, continuous training, and career orientation. Special attention will also be given to sustainability, social innovation, and internationalization, in line with the University’s strategic priorities.
A central element of the agreement is the establishment of a Joint Coordination Committee, tasked with defining priorities, planning initiatives, and monitoring their progress over time. This governance model is designed to ensure continuity of activities and strengthen dialogue between the university and industry, maximizing the scientific and practical impact of the projects.
“The signing of the Framework Agreement with CNH represents an important step in Alma Mater’s strategy to reinforce collaborations with industry and the local territory,” said Rector Giovanni Molari. “Through this agreement, we confirm the University of Bologna’s role as a driver of knowledge and innovation, capable of generating tangible value and impact for society.”
CNH also expressed satisfaction. “Collaboration with the Alma Mater allows us to transform research excellence into sustainable innovation,” commented Carlo Lambro. “This agreement reflects our global Open Innovation strategy and is essential for investing in young talent and developing cutting-edge solutions for the future of agriculture.”
