Grok, an artificial intelligence–based assistant, is now available on Tesla electric vehicles in Europe as well. With this update, the American automotive company takes a further step toward an increasingly software-centric approach. Grok does not merely answer general questions about science, history or current events; it becomes an active part of the driving experience.

From a functional standpoint, the assistant can be activated by the driver to manage navigation commands, set destinations, recalculate routes in real time and identify points of interest along the way. In addition, Grok can consult the vehicle’s user and maintenance manual, clarify the meaning of dashboard warnings, and provide guidance on proper operating procedures and routine maintenance.

Interaction takes place via steering wheel controls or through the central touchscreen display, in multiple languages. According to the Company, conversations are handled anonymously and are not associated with the individual vehicle, with the stated aim of ensuring owners’ privacy protection.

With the introduction of Grok on European Teslas, the manufacturer strengthens its strategy of integrating Artificial Intelligence, increasingly transforming the electric car into a continuously evolving digital platform.
